i know its overcrowded so i want u to cut down my list. you can also add some of your favorite fish to it besides bettas and mollie
What do you have in your tank currently?
Without knowing what you currently have, I can only tell you the following:
Tiger Barbs: NOTORIOUS fin nippers. Do NOT put them in a tank with any fish having long fins or fish that are highly territorial.
Puffer fish: Do NOT mix any puffer with other fish in a 29g tank. ALL puffers are highly aggressive and are really best suited for specimen only tanks. Green Spotted/Figure 8 Puffers are brackish water fish and dwarf puffers are freshewater, but extremely territorial and aggressive
Plecos: Common plecos reach lengths up to 2 feet in length and need neutral to slightly acidic water (6.00 – 7.0 pH)
Catfish: many different varieties here. Some get extremely large.
Shrimp: Need lots of space and nip fins. Don't mix unless you have a heavily planted tank with lots of hiding spaces. Also need a very stable, mature biologic filter
Discus: NO!! These fish need a specimen tank. They are VERY difficult to keep and should only be kept by expert aquarists. They have VERY specific pH, lighting and pH requirements and need a minimum 55g tall tank.

well you cannot add:
puffer fish (agression)
pleco (size)
or discus (difficult as crap)
some kinds of catfish (size)
unless you seriously know what you are doing.
id suggest celestial pearl danios (also known as the galaxy rasbora) . they are exquisetly beautiful. heres a pic http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/breeding/Microrasbora_Galaxy_Michael_Pham.jpg

My aunt had a lionfish in her aquarium and it added a cool, exotic feel that made it exciting to look at.

no puffer fish, they are highly aggressive, and I only know of one completly freshwater kind, the dwarf puffer (please correct me if I'm wrong) the dwarf puffers are incredibally aggressive. If you want to have puffers they need a puffer only tank. most pleco's get to large (around 2 feet) so inless your willing to upgrade to a 55+ gallons, avoid the pleco. Discus are schooling fish, yet are highly aggressive, so they need a 55 gallon minimum tank (preferably a 75+ gallon) I don't know about the butterfly fish also.
Personally I would go w/ 2 angels (1 male, 1 female) rasboras, bleeding heart tetras, and shrimp.

look up yellow and blue tangs and foxface

there is an endless list of possibilities, but there are a few rules you need to follow. the first is not to keep fish that will get any bigger than about 7-8 inches long.
another rule to keep by is that you can only house a certain amount of fish. figure about 2 inches of body length to one gallon in your aquarium.

no
-tiger barbs
-african butterfly fish
-puffers because they are to agressive
-be careful w/ snails cause they can over pop. real fast
-and becareful of what type of catfish you get cause will eat the shrimp
- try not to get a common pleco because they can reach over 2 feet in length
some of my personal fav.s are
-opaline gouramis
-neons
-swordtails
and
-guppies
which are all very good tempered and cheap fish
