i really suggest …
i really suggest getting a bigger thank, or at least a real plant. real plant are even cheaper then fake plants sometimes. also, you could get oski a girlfriend^^ (only in a bigger tank tough) and maybe some heating and if possible shrimp eggs. they love thoses.

Your betta is …
Your betta is having a depression fall.Get him excercise.Mirror will be fine.When you change water make sure that new water is the same temp.Other wise they just sit there sulking.Betta are native of south-east asia.Betta thrive on heat.If the water fall below 75 degrees F. and it will become increasingly listless.You can soften the water with some aquarium salt.Read directions on bottle before adding.Feed him pellet food specifically made for betta.He can be feed 2-3 small pellets a day.

If it hasn’t already been mentioned, betta fish are mostly from Thailand, they often live in stagnant pools (which is why they’re so hardy and therefore excellent starter fish.) However, the betta you have is from a breeder not too far away, wild bettas are very expensive since their genetics are highly sought after to add to the gene pool of betta lines which is become pretty shallow and weaker. I’m so glad you got him a bigger home; he’ll live much longer and be much happier!!
I do have to suggest just getting a plant for him – they have ones with weights on the bottom so they’ll stay standing up and are easy to remove and clean. It’ll also give him something to hide behind and rest in.

He’s a little cutie!
