How many times a day should I feed my blue betta fish?
I have a male blue betta fish named George. how many times a day should i feed him? my mom said I should feed him once every other day I have betta fish food (not pellets like of seen on other websites) someone please help me
i got him yesterday 8/26/09 and today the water is already cloudy is this normal?
You can feed the betta once a day, or as much as he can eat in a couple minutes. Three-five flakes will be fine. You should feed him a varied diet, and from-time-to-time, feed him some bloodworms or some other kind of nutritious, meaty food. Also, starve him for one day of the week every week, that way he doesn’t get constipated.
As for the cloudiness, did you cycle the tank? How big is it? If you did not cycle the tank, and if it’s just a bowl he’s living in, it’s probably cloudy because of a bacteria bloom, and that’s something to be concerned about. When there is a bacteria bloom, the ammonia and nitrite will spike, and that could kill you betta.
Hope this helps!
Good luck!

I would feed George once a day but, not very much. No more than he can eat in 2 or 3 minutes. But, it wouldn’t hurt to feed him ever other day. In fact, this will help keep your water cleaner longer. As far as the water goes it should not be cloudy. You may not have let your water sit awhile before adding George. But, I think the best thing to do now is to change at least half of his water with fresh water, always use chlorine remover in water before adding it to his bowl. If it remains cloudy don’t do anything for a few days and see if it will clear up on its own. But you can buy products to clear cloudy water. Beta’s usually have to have their water changed at least once a week. I hope this helps you and George. Good Luck!

I feed my blue male betta once every other day but every betta is different. I would start off feeding him once a day and just a little bit. Then, at any tme if he is not eating or showing any interest in his food, start feeding him once every other day.
I would start by changing the water again and if this keeps up, I would go to your pet store and look for a water conditioner that will clear up the water.
Hope this helps!!!
