How long do betta fish have the eggs inside them?
My betta fish is I think about ready to have her eggs I guess you could say, but I don’t have a male. Does this mean the fish is gonna die? Can’t have the eggs? Or what?
Female Bettas create eggs in cycles, regardless of whether or not they're bred. Proper conditioning is, however, required ot make sure she's healthy and has healthy enough eggs for breeding.
Unused eggs in Bettas are either absorbed back into the body or released unfertilized. I've personally never seen them be released; my girls have always just reabsorbed,
Someone did mention something about becoming egg bound. This can happen, but it is not exceedingly commonplace. Do research the signs of it and be wary should you need to treat the fish.

She prolly will not produce eggs unless properly conditioned. I am advising agains getting a male and spawning them, as these are a hard fish to spawn and even harder to raise. Nothing will happen to her if she does not spawn, she will prolly re-absorb the eggs.
