Discus
feeding fish handly
Best recommand not touching the fish too much, think my video lead ppl to touch there fish like touching a dog or cat, that’s something we shouldn’t do. It will harm the fish, cos it will remove some of the protection skim on the fish body.

not necesarilly as …
not necesarilly as long as there are enough fish in a tank like this one, they are able to hide behind one another and feel content and as for the plants. Its a myth if you do enough water changes, bacteria isn’t need for clean water
Lots of people …
Lots of people place ceramic rings into their filters (that have micro pores in them) to allow bacteria to propagate inside of them.
hey guys can you …
hey guys can you look at my fishes and tell me if its true that they get more colorful as they grow
I would be more …
I would be more concerned with Discus’ razor sharp fin!
I cut my hands moving my fish once, its bizare that you have done this.

The bacteria …
The bacteria usually grow in the filter where there is high oxygen and no light.
lol seacrest out?
lol seacrest out?
how did you cycle …
how did you cycle the tank if there is no substrate in it for the bacteria to produce .
is it safe to touch …
is it safe to touch them like that? :O
they do, however, …
they do, however, they are not in the wild. The reason keeping it clean is to boost their growth rate. Water in an aquarium will become so stale and by time the nutrients in the water will decrease. Thus, the need to do water changes, besides of nitrate accumulation. Unlike their natural habitat, the water flows constantly everyday, giving constant fresh water + nutrients. You do not want your discus to be stunted, You want to them grow big with vibrant colors etc.

but dont all …
but dont all animals enjoy having a place to hide from view to feel safe?
discus are very …
discus are very well kept in an empty aquarium
they like clean aquariums and its very easy to keep it clean like this and they got alot more space
lovely discuses, …
lovely discuses, but what sad bleak and lifeless looking aquarium. i guess all your money went into purchasing the discuses and not any substrate or plants.
Very good that’s …
Very good that’s what I’m saying you need good water conditions. Lack of gravel = bad water conditions. If you have substrate the food will stay ON the gravel until consumed. I overfeed my tank (old video available now — new vid coming soon) and when I vaccuum I find only a few LIVE WORMS and sometimes dead bloodworms in the plant’s roots (which again keep water waste free)
Bare tank = almost always has SOME waste present since the waste has to get to the filter. Filter + Gravel = 2x filter
your watching …
your watching american idol. haha
If you want to have …
If you want to have a display discus tank…yes, gravel sand etc but your discus might grow slow or stunted if the water condition is poor.
if you want to breed them, get them grow faster … baretank, easy to clean, siphon excess food and suck out the poop and maintain pristine water condition with daily water change.
I see both bare and …
I see both bare and planted. But waste is bad for all fish. Why would the adults be ok with it? I’ve seen planted discus BREEDING TANKS. Can’t say they were extremely successfull since there was more than 2 discus in there though :-/
Sorry, but anyone …
Sorry, but anyone who keeps discus will tell you that young fish like these ones really need a bare tank. Gravel and decor traps waste and increases nitrates. Young discus need perfect water or else there growth becomes stunted. Youtube search “young discus” now look at all those bare tanks……
