Tropical fish tank – red tail shark , gouramis, no chiclids
please tell me what i could do to improve my tropical fish tank. i have about every kind of tropical fish the stores sell but i want some new ideas.

…..You need a school of neons to keep one. Buy some live plants and some driftwood or rocks for hiding and resting spots. Your other fish will be abused by the shark without them. Trust me from experience.

add some danios and barbs, they swim fast, so you’ll have some small fish to actually be protected from the red tail shark

Looks like a happy tank. I saw a neon, you should try having a school of at least five. Some plants and caves would do well for hiding places. And NO MORE SHARKS, as they may find the neon and guppy to be a tempting meal.

o and you have a few fish tht like to hide (its in there nTure) put like some caves and but some plants in there preferably live.. there suppost to sell them by the fish isle.

get some java fern …
get some java fern and moss amazon swords. check ebay or petco/petsmart/walmart… real plants will look great in there… get a bunch of them,. take out the silk plants. i like the sand, but you should put some rocks in there too. i got some rocks from a local park and washed them put them in the tank and made some caves for my cories.

you should get 6 or more tiger barbs man! when i first got them they formed a little school! so funny my clown loaches though they were one too! but if you do get tiger barbs make sure NONE OF YOUR FISH HAVE A FIN HANGING DOWN! i hear they nip fins, but i just got them and i dont have any fish that have a long fin. maybe get some clown loaches to man!
