I did the fishless cycle for 6 weeks before adding any fish, and then added fish a few at a time. With Angel&#039;s, we got them when they were very small. They say if you get them when they are small they will grow up with smaller fish like Tetra&#039;s and not consider them as food. Luckily we haven&#039;t lost any fish to them.</description>

The 4 we have in there, we were told they were all males as they don&#039;t normally sell females. I would imagine the female Rams would be less colorful.</description>

With Livebearers (Platies/ Mollies/ Guppies/ Swordtails) it&#039;s the anal fin, that&#039;s the fin between the belly and the tail. If it&#039;s pointed and flat against the body it&#039;s a male, if it looks like a regular fin it&#039;s female.
