We just saw a nature program that showed tiny jellyfish which can kill an adult in minutes and that jellyfish are spreading all over the oceans including cooler waters where they were not found before. Forget the fear of sharks…the Jellyfish invasion is on.

1 Gallon Pico Reef, 1/2 gallon sealed SPS reef tank, 19 gallon bog terrarium globe, 75 gallon planted tank with Co2 injection. Keeping ecosystems in odd containers changes the chemistry and dynamics interestingly and has a direct correlation to evaporation rates, nitrate binding or export, and temperature stabilization to name a few.

certain shapes for the captive reef help the tricky balances to self-stabilize in time, and that is why you see the amount of life you do along with the video proof that this is not a plumbed or cheated system in anyway, it’s simply a fishbowl or vase reef. These were the first sub-gallon pico reefs invented that you will find on the internet, none are older and as long-lived with web documentation. if you’d like to research pico reef history start at Reefs.Org and reefcentral around 2002 and nano-reef.com
These forums paved the way for the explosion in popularity you see now with micro aquaria and document the progress of this layman’s science

Baby terrapin eating a dead goldfish
Hey, here you’ll see my terrapins again but particullarly one of my small terrapins tearing away at a dead goldfish. Also I’d mind to say that unfortunatly due to unadequate air supply every one of these gold fish died by the next evening, even after cleaning the tank and supply more air by some means the shock of all the dieing fish probably killed off the rest, thankfully I had removed 3 of my biggest and nicest ones before this fish catastrophy. Still a nice video:)

Questions about why there WEhere dead fish in my tank with the turtles. These fish died from lack of air due the tanks bubble filter breaking down, it mainly was not the turtles but they did eat the dead ones later on. I managed to save 5 fish before it got very bad and I had no clue what happened as I was out that day. Hey, you had a question about why there WEhere dead fish in my tank with the turtles. People uming I did it all for fun need to first look into their record of cruelty against anyone…and then when they’ve corrected it all THEN they have the right to say cruel things against me although only by umptive observance can they anything because you didn’t see what happened.
