Aquarium Tips – How to easily catch small tropical fish
By cutting the top third off a plastic 2 litre drinks bottle and pushing it back into the remainder of the bottle upside down, you have made an effective fish trap. I use this method all the time at Tyne Valley Aquatics. Herd the fish into it or leave it baited for spooky types of fish. Once the fish enters the trap it is caught and can be removed without disturbing the plants and tank decor. The one in the video has the narrow part of the bottle removed also. Using this method of capture reduces stress, and allows you to do something else if it is left baited (remember to check regularly).
