Are mirror backing in fish tanks bad for the fish?

Just looking at a few fish tanks. One had a mirrored backing, I was just wondering if this was a good thing or not. Only one tank had it. Wasn't sure if it would confuse the fish, make it feel like there were more fish around, or if I'm just over thinking it. Thanks.

I have heard that it makes the fish stressed. It causes them to think that there is an huge open space and no where to hide.
