What kind of Animals can i put in a 20 gal. fish tank.? And Supply List.?

My daughter wants some fish, snails, and frogs. we already know where were getting everything. a few African Dwarf Frogs are going in… and fishh.. but what could do well in a 20 gal. tank all through its entire life.?

And What are the supplies.?

If you’re going to put african dwarf frogs in your tank. I’m going to assume that you want a tropical tank right? In a 20 gallon you have many possiblities for fish. Here’s a list of common supplies for all tropical aquariums.

*heater
*aquarium
*hood (opional)
*lights for your hood (if you get a hood)
*thermometer
*filter
*gravel
*decorations ( such as plants live or real, rocks wood etc)
*water conditioner
*fish food

This is just a basic list for all aquariums, if you’re not doing a tropical tank you will not need the heater. Generally snails can live in wide ranges of temperatures. Here’s a list of tropical fish.

*guppies
*neon tetras
*cory catfish
*bettas (in species tank only unless they are female)
*Mollies
*platys
* cichilds (species tank)
* most tetras

You can often have varaities of different fish in your tank. I would suggest a small school of bottom feeders (cory cats) or some frogs, a few snails, and a colorful school of guppies or tetras. So I hoped i helped! Good luck!
