How should i change a fish tank?
I just got 13 goldfish's, i dont know what kind, but I NEED HELP!! i dont know when to feed them, and i dont know when their hungry. And i dont have any fish supplies except a small tank, without filter, and some fish food. (not flakes) Also how should i get the fish out without a net? Plus, i fed it already and now all the fishes are coming up to the top of the water….

if you have 13 goldfish in the same small unfiltered tank they are dying from ammonia poisoning and are gasping for breath at the surface of the water. You need to have 1 fish per small tank. hurry and get individual containers for the goldfish, they can be tupperware or vases or anything. Just get them in fresh conditioned water stat!

get a filter NOW. No fish will be able to survive without one. Next you need to add a product to purify your water-I recomend stress coat or stress zyme. You need to buy the right kind of food for goldfish.
Go to petco.com or your local pet store to get this stuff. You need to do it soon because water often contains heavy metals and toxins that humans can tolerate but that will kill fish. In terms of food brands I recomend tetra.
When you change the water do not take the fish out of the tank. Use a cup and scoop out half to three quarters of the water. Then add fresh water. Before putting in the fresh water add purifier to it so it is safe for the fish. Also let the water sit for at least a half hour before you add it so that it is room temperature and therefore the same temperature as the water In the tank. Be sure to change the water once a week.
Feed one flake of fish food per fish per day.
