10 and 5 Gallon Fish Tanks- Cycling

I’m sorry about the video quality. Movie making is just an extra setting on my digital camera. I don’t know if I can edit the movies so I used my hand to cover up the lens as I walked to the other side of the room to show my 5 gallon. Also there is no sound.

This is a video of my 10 gallon and 5 gallon tanks that are cycling at the moment. I hope to get fish for them soon.

10 Gallon Aquarium by TopFin:
Filter= AquaClear Power Filter 30 (for 10-30 gallon aquariums).
Heater= Marineland Visi-Therm Stealth 50 Watt (for up to 15 gallons).
Decor= Gravel by TopFin, Cave, and Plastic Plants from PetSmart.

Filter= Whisper Micro Filter (included)

EDIT: I broke these down a long time ago. I have no fish right now and won’t for a while because I am too busy being a college student.

What is the average pH level for a freshwater fish tank/ aquarium?

We recently got a fish tank and I had to use those freshwater test strips to figure out the pH level and was wondering what the average pH level is for a freshwater fish tank/ aquarium.

I don’t know what the average is, but pH 7.0 (really anywhere from about 6.8 to 7.5) is acceptable for the majority of aquarium fish.
However, there are plenty of exceptions. It really depends on the needs of the species you are keeping.
