55 gallon fresh water community fish tank ” PLEASE HELP “
I have a 55 gallon fresh water tank. I need help my fish is stressed out, and hidding at the bottom of the tank in the corner. Please help and leave some positive comment for me , so I can get my tank healthy. I have a 120v heater, a 350 dual filter, a under gravel air pump filter, and 2 temperture guages.

what are some good plants to put in my aquarium/fish tank?
i have a lot of experience wit fish tanks mut none with live plants…any suggestions? …it will be for a 55 gallon tank. any info of some plant names..how big they get…and what substrate(gravel/sand etc), type of lighting and/or water chemistry that i would need would be really helpful..thanks
Java moss and Java fern are really easy. My fish also love hornwort. Marimo balls can be fun because if your fish are big enough, they can roll them around and play with them.
Those are all pretty hardy plants. It’s very difficult to go wrong with them. I have even chopped all the leaves off and buried the roots in the gravel (because I was forced to get it at a pet store, and I don’t trust their algae controlling capabilities). It always grows right back, and pretty quick too. Low – medium light. They can get big, but you just trim it down to whatever size you like.

33 Gallon Long Tank
Well, here it is, the update. This was how it looked right before I took it down. I’ll be receiving my 20 gallon furniture stand with storage space from drfoster&smith, so i’m sticking with two 20 gallon longs instead of this one. Anyway, the reason why I loved this 33 gallon was because it’s so low and since it’s not that high, the tank doesn’t require such intense lighting… though I do have metal halides running on it lol. On the right side, i took out most of the rocks to place zoanthids(mostly) on it and i kept the left side with a lot of rocks for fish to take rest and refuge in. Well, turns out my shrimps like that area more than my fish. 33 Gallons are great, you can play around with it a lot to however you want to aquascape it and it doesn’t take a lot of space. This is actually running inside my room. No refugium. All I added was ESV two component and Brightwell Magnesion every other day. Here are the corals I had growing which will transfer over to my new setup. (btw, i’ll be making a video of my new 20 gallon set up soon)
