How long do betta fish have the eggs inside them?
My betta fish is I think about ready to have her eggs I guess you could say, but I don’t have a male. Does this mean the fish is gonna die? Can’t have the eggs? Or what?
Female Bettas create eggs in cycles, regardless of whether or not they're bred. Proper conditioning is, however, required ot make sure she's healthy and has healthy enough eggs for breeding.
Unused eggs in Bettas are either absorbed back into the body or released unfertilized. I've personally never seen them be released; my girls have always just reabsorbed,
Someone did mention something about becoming egg bound. This can happen, but it is not exceedingly commonplace. Do research the signs of it and be wary should you need to treat the fish.

what kind of aquarium should I get?
I have a 29 gallon tank, and i cant choose between a fresh or saltwater aquarium.
I know alot about both, and have the supplies!
but I cant choose, whitch would you set-up?
I have fresh water because not a lot of time in busy life to give a salt water tank the attention it needs, fresh water is much easier to maintain

What water treatments do i need for aquarium fish?
Hi I've bought a 5 foot Fish tank with 6 large Goldfish in it off eBay about 2 weeks, ive only ever had one tiny goldfish before who ive successfully put into the tank, but with him ive never treated the water, he was just in an old fashioned bowl (which im told now is a big fishkeeping faux pas!!)
Obviously as its been two weeks its time for a partial water exchange but ive been told to treat my tap water and test it, im pretty dumb and have no idea what to use or what im testing for can anyone tell me more, and where i can buy some treatments (preferably lower end of the budget though i have a teensy budget)
Wow, there are some pretty windy opinions here. This is what I think: You need to purchase a siphon. Have the store manager give you a lesson on how to use it, or IM/email me and I'll walk you through it. Use the siphon to vacuum out all the crap out of the gravel. It sounds like your tank is already established. Were the goldfish living in this same tank when you purchased the tank or are the fish new? If the tank has only been running since you purchased it, then your tank is still cycling. You might want to purchase a master test kit. This will allow you to monitor ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Keeping yourself informed of your tank's water qualtiy will help prevent any major problems down the road. When it comes time to fill your tank back up, use a dechlorinator. Most are in liquid form. Follow the instructions on the bottle. You can also leave the water sitting out for the chlorine to evaporate, but if your local water treatment plant uses chloramine, you will have to wait much longer. Magicman taught me that chloramines have a half life of about 72 hrs, at 7.5pH and 80 degrees. This means that if you set your water out to age for 24 hrs and the city puts chloramines in your water, it will NOT be safe to add to the tank without water conditioner. The cheapest way to dechlorinate your tank is to purchase Sodium Thiosulfate crystals. This is the main ingredient of dechlorinator, and for a few dollars, you can dechlorinate thousands of gallons. It is pretty hard to find, but you could probably order some off the internet. Email me if you have any questions.

I really want a salt water fish tank! But.. my mom..?
Now, I really want a salt water fish tank! How can I convince her to get one? Would she let me get it if I agreed to pay for all the supplies and keep the tank in my room? Pls help!
Modern saltwater tanks are much easier and cheaper to maintain than before. The upfront cost is can be heavy for a low maintenance setup though. Do some research on deep sand bed filtration, algae filters, and live rock. I know of many people that no longer provide any filtration other than biological. They consistently have unreadable levels of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Again, can be very expensive up front however.
Please ask at your local pet store for fish keeping groups. They are your best source of information. They will gladly help supply you with live sand, corals, and even captive bred clownfish, usually for free.
EDIT: They will also be able to provide you many tips on how to set up a salt water aquarium on the cheap. More than could ever be listed in 300 words. Having experienced guidance you can call on when needed should help in persuading your mother.
EDIT: Get a notebook and start taking a lot of notes as well. Don't bring it up for at least a week (month would be better). Just take your time researching and asking questions. Nothing will convince your mother that you are prepared for this more than being prepared for this.

Rope Fish, Glass Cats, Blood Worms and a Salamander
These are my pets. I have two Glass Cats (not featured because they’re see-through and I couldn’t find them), my Rope Fish, Oscar, who is in fact a fish, not an eel or snake, and my darling Common Spotted Salamander, Slimy.
The fish eat frozen blood worms, and Slimy eats various worms and crickets.
The fish were bought from ET Tropical Fish and Supplies, which is an AMAZING store so check it out, and, like I said in the video Oscar did get out in the store and was flopping around on the floor for a couple minutes. You should have seen the look on my dad’s face, I swear he was green. XD
